It was a regular day in the life of _______... Well at first…
After a long stressful day at her high school she was on her way to McDonalds with her best friend Alfred F.  Jones, while walking out of the school gates ________ had the oddest need to ask a really stupid question. She turned her head to face the tall American walking beside her,
"Hey Al?"
"What's up _____?" he said with his giant toothy smile.
"What does the F in your name stand for?" _________ asked.
He looked down at her and smiled even more "Oh is my bestest buddy _________ curious?"
"yeppers!" _____ smiled at him.
Alfred blushed a little, he always loved _______'s  smile. Well her smile was just one of the things he always loved about her. He had always had a crush on her.
But he could never tell her for two reasons… one; they have been friends since there first year of middle school. And he didn't want to lose her by telling her he liked her. And two, because he had a secret he could never let her know. He didn't want her to get hurt because of him.
But little did he know that ________ had the same feelings as him. But she felt that he didn't like her anymore now that he was the popular quarterback on the school's football team, they never got to hang out anymore so she enjoyed little moments like this.
"Ok ____ but its top secret," He leaned down to whisper it into her in her ear "I can't tell you~!" He started to run down the street.
"What the-?!" After getting over the shock of his answer she started chasing him, "ALFRED F***ING JONES GETBACK HERE!"
She chased him all the way to McDonalds, "What the heck Al?!" _______ said as she bent over to catch her breath.
'She looks so cute when she's out of breath~' thought Alfred with quite the face while he was thinking it.
________ noticed this face and regained her breath, "Al, what's that face for? The last time I saw you make that face it was directed at the picture of the bigmac on the McDonalds menu."
He jumped at her comment, "Oh it's nothing~" he smiled as reassurance.
_______ pouted "Fine… if you say so."
They walked into McDonalds where Alfred took the chance to get his snack of 20 hamburgers, 18 cheeseburgers, 15 Bigmacs, 2 cokes and 3 McFlurries. One of them was for _____, he thought he would try the best friend approach and pay for it himself.
________ took her first bite "I love McFlurries!" She said taking another bite.
Alfred smiled to himself, and then his phone rang.

____________'s  POV
'Great… One of his popular friends no doubt…'
I sadly ate another spoonful of my McFlurry.

Alfred's POV
I picked up my phone and saw how sad __________ looked.
'Maybe it's not important.'
I looked at the caller id, 'DARN IT! IT'S GIL! This means I have to pick it up…' I opened it and held it up to my ear.
I saw ______'s disappointed expression out of the corner of my eye; it killed me to pick it up in the middle of our special McDonalds day.
"Alfred is that you?!" Yelled Gil over the phone.
"It's me now what do you want?! I'm busy!" I yelled over the phone.
"There's no yelling at the awesome me dude! I just thought that you would enjoy knowing that he is back!" Gil yelled back over the phone.
'Oh crap!' I looked at ________, she seemed really sad. But I had to hear about this.

________'s POV
"Sorry ______, but I have to take this." Alfred said as he stood up from the table.
I faked a smile, "Oh don't worry about it."
He sadly smiled back at me and walked outside, "I'll be right back!"
'Why does this always happen?!' I thought as I put my head in my hands.
I went back to eating my McFlurry; the last thing I want is for Alfred to see me this way.
He soon returned and I looked up at him, he seemed disappointed so I tried to act happy for his sake.
"Hey _____?"
"Yeah?"
"Uh… Something came up and I have to go." He said.
I smiled, "Its fine, its important right? So if it is important to my best friend then it is important to me too."
He smiled back, "You're the best you know that dude?!" He gave me a huge hug; I blushed but quickly hid it.
He started to run to the door, "The hero will so make this up to you!" He waved from the door then started to leave.
'Well… I might as well go home…' I thought as I stood up.
I realized that Alfred left more than half of his "snack" so I put it in a bag and ran out the door hoping to find him.  
I looked around once I got out of the door and I saw a hint of his jacket going around the corner down the street to my right.
I started to run after him, I turned the corner and found myself in an alley like area. It was a one way path so I just continued to run.
Eventually I came to a dead end and Alfred; he seemed to be looking for something.
"Hey Al!" I said happily and waved to him.
He turned around with a worried look on his face, "_______?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" He yelled.
"I'm sorry but you forgot your Bur-"
"Look out!" Alfred grabbed me and ran to the side so we were behind a dumpster.
He was crouched over me, "stay here and don't come out no matter what happens to me." He whispered.
"But, what's going o-"he put his hand over my mouth to stop me from speaking.
"Not now ________!  Promise me!" He looked more serious than I have ever seen him before.
"O-ok, I promise."
He softly smiled at me, "Ok good, and don't move until I say so."
He got up and walked into a clearer area of the alley, "So your back huh?" said Alfred to someone I couldn't see due to my angle behind the dumpster.
"hehhehheh, what did little Alfie miss me?" said a dark voice that sounded almost like Alfred's.
"You're nothing worth missing!" Alfred growled back, "Now get out of my sight!" yelled Alfred.
'I've never heard him like this.' I thought, 'Alfred must really hate this guy.'
"Oh but I came all this way to see you." Said the dark voice.
I turned my head so I could see a little of what was going on and still not be seen, but I could only see Alfred.
"Oh you shouldn't have, but I got you something as well." Alfred put his fists in front of his face and kicked whoever was hidden from my view.
I guess the figure dodged because I didn't hear any contact, then the figure came into my view, but I couldn't make out anything but his silhouette due to the buildings casting there shadows over the two of them.
The figure rushed Alfred and gave him an uppercut, 'Oh my gosh!'
I reached into my pocket to grab my cell, but it wasn't there.
'Oh no! I left it at McDonalds when I checked the time! I'm such an idiot!' I turned my head to look back at the scene.
Alfred was on the ground under the other figure; Alfred punched the figure in the face. The figure became enraged and pulled out a knife.
'Sorry Al but I have to break your promise this time!' I ran out from behind the dumpster, "LEAVE ALFRED ALONE!" I yelled with my eyes closed, there was no sound of movement so I opened them.
I came face to face with Alfred and…… ALFRED?!
